Integration and connectivity between batch and MES is a common use case in industry. The challenge lies in the fast, agile realization of information flows across different system boundaries, even if the systems do not speak the same language.

The innovative InfoCarrier® BOXI developed by a SpiraTec Group company enables data exchange and function calls between different systems via defined interfaces. This allows project engineers to concentrate on configuring the systems while communication takes place via a predefined channel. This results in enormous time savings, as project planning can be carried out in both systems in parallel and no one has to wait for the other.

A decisive advantage of InfoCarrier® BOXI is the connection to process control systems and MES from a wide range of manufacturers through the use of universal connectors. With predefined workflows, common best practice use cases, such as creating a batch or reading and writing parameters, can be implemented consistently with little effort. This saves manual input and ensures a significant reduction in errors. In addition, previously defined events can be transferred from the DCS to the MES and these events can be integrated into the MBR modeling in the MES, for example.

By using a workflow engine, customized workflows can also be implemented, enabling tailor-made solutions for every communication application.
