Insights into Uwe’s work at SpiraTec

Uwe has been an electrician for 14 years. You could also call him a “problem solver” or “modernizer”.

He started his apprenticeship as an electronic technician for power systems and then went directly into the private sector. There he gained years of practical experience in various electrical jobs. These included assembly work in China, India and America, as well as work in hospitals and for large industrial companies.

When asked why he chose a corporate job, Uwe gives a clear answer: “I always wanted to be an electrician. Not in a craft, but in a company to take care of the really big systems. At SpiraTec this is possible as an electrician because we work in a purely industrial environment. Security is also an important factor. Flexible deployment to other projects and locations is possible at any time.”

In addition to the assembly and installation of mechanical and electrical components, such as cable routing, cable laying, connection work on various sensors, actuators and switchgear, the commissioning of control and measurement systems is also part of the job. As the direct contact person on site, Uwe solves problems together with the customer.

“Modernization is a particularly important part of our work. As the saying goes, we make new out of old – and that describes our work perfectly. Automation is a key topic and we are at the forefront of developments,” says Uwe, explaining his work as an electrician at SpiraTec.

And what qualifications should someone have for this job?
“Above all, you should be able to work independently and not be afraid to get your hands dirty,” says Uwe with a laugh.
