CPHI Milan 2026: Shaping the Future of Engineering

  • 13.10.2026

CPHI Milan 2026 brought the international pharmaceutical industry together in Milan from October 6 to 8. SpiraTec used the trade show to present the latest engineering, automation, and digitalization solutions and to discuss the future of pharmaceutical production environments with international trade visitors.

Under the motto “Shaping the Future of Engineering – Your multidisciplinary partner for the pharmaceutical industry,” SpiraTec presented a wide range of topics at Booth J14 in Hall 12, covering everything from modular automation and industrial AI to IT/OT integration and OT security, as well as qualification & validation, service, and worker assistance.

MTP Tower: Modularization for Flexible Production Environments

A central focus of the trade show presentation was Module Type Package (MTP). The MTP Tower demonstrated how standardized interfaces and modular automation can support the integration and expansion of production modules.

The flexible combination of different modules is becoming increasingly important, particularly for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical facilities. SpiraTec combines engineering and automation expertise with IT and digitalization solutions.

OT Security and NIS2

As industrial production environments become increasingly interconnected, the requirements for securing them also rise. At CPHI, SpiraTec showcased solutions for OT security and the implementation of regulatory requirements such as NIS2.

This involves taking a holistic view of industrial infrastructures—from the assessment of existing environments to the development and implementation of appropriate security concepts.

Industrial AI: Using Data for Better Decisions

Another focus was on Industrial AI. Practical AI solutions can help evaluate production data more effectively, optimize processes, and support data-driven operational decisions.

A key factor here is the integration of AI applications into existing production and IT landscapes.

IT/OT Integration and Interfacing

Modern digital production requires seamless data flows between the shop floor and higher-level IT systems. Accordingly, IT/OT integration was also a central focus of the trade show presentation.

SpiraTec helps companies connect systems and data sources and create a consistent information base for production, monitoring, and other digital applications.

Other Key Areas: OEM Support, Service Center, Visual Inspection, and Qualification

The portfolio showcased at CPHI Milan also included:

  • OEM Support: Integration, coordination, and optimization of OEM and machine solutions in complex production environments.
  • Service Center: International service and support services throughout the entire plant lifecycle.
  • Visual Inspection: Digital and automated inspection solutions for quality assurance, process stability, and compliance.
  • Qualification & Validation: Support for qualification and validation processes in GMP-regulated production environments.
  • Worker Assistance: Digital assistance systems to support employees in production environments.

Personal Exchange as a Central Component

In addition to the technologies on display, the focus was primarily on discussions with customers, partners, and industry experts. CPHI Milan provided an opportunity to discuss specific challenges in pharmaceutical production and to explore potential solutions together.

Many thanks to all visitors, as well as to our partners and the SpiraTec team, for the productive exchange in Milan.
