Interview with Dennis, Professional Associate in Marketing

What attracted you to SpiraTec as an employer?
I wanted to work at a company that is modern and future-oriented. Clear structures and communication at eye level were especially important to me.

How were your first days? Was there a moment that stood out?
The first days were shaped by a structured onboarding program and many introductory meetings across various departments. What impressed me most was that many colleagues already knew who I was and in which area I’d be working.

What was your biggest learning in the first 100 days?
Working again in a structured and goal-oriented environment. Many things are planned and decided proactively – leaving room for spontaneous adjustments and creative ideas.

Which challenge was especially exciting or demanding?
A particular challenge was the physical distance to the marketing team, which is mostly based in Speyer. Coordination therefore takes place online. It’s all the more pleasing how smoothly the collaboration via Microsoft Teams works – not only in marketing, but also across departments.

How does SpiraTec / your new team – differ from previous work environments?
At SpiraTec, respect, openness, and friendly interaction are valued every day – whether you’re an intern or an executive. Using first names and informal communication is completely normal and deeply rooted in our corporate culture.

What has been your highlight so far?
Being able to accompany a large-scale project as a photographer. Experiencing the impressive facility in live operation while pursuing my hobby – photography – was a true highlight. The resulting photos were used in a campaign and received a lot of positive feedback.

What are you particularly proud of in this short time?
After 18 years, I took the leap into a new company with new responsibilities. It takes courage to leave familiar paths – and it feels great to reach new goals.

Which tools, processes or working methods were new to you – and how did you adjust?
Although forward-looking project planning isn’t new to me, it’s now once again an integral part of my workday. It’s great to see how well-thought-out concepts are successfully implemented. Collaboration across more than 40 sites also works surprisingly well – only the coffee can’t be shared remotely yet.

What do you take away from your first 100 days – professionally and personally?
These first 100 days have shown me how important it is to embrace change – both professionally and personally. In a constantly changing world, this is the key to growth. Consciously taking on new challenges strengthens both professional skills and self-confidence.

What’s next – what are you looking forward to?
Our company and team are growing – and with that, the opportunities to explore new paths. Right now, I’m particularly excited to help shape a new marketing module for SpiraTec. I’ve already been able to contribute my experience and am curious to see how this module will support SpiraTec’s future positioning.
