We conducted an interview with our colleague Jeya, in which she revealed that for her, further development always means movement.
Our colleague Jeya has been working in the Industrial IT Solutions division since the beginning of 2021. Within just two years, she was promoted to her new position as Team and Account Manager in April of this year and has since combined project work with management tasks and her involvement in setting up a new location on the east coast of the USA.
“The variety of my tasks is what I like best. Whether it’s a deep dive into different systems, project controlling, the acquisition of new projects and customers or management tasks – I really enjoy being able to shape my own day and prioritize my tasks,” Jeya tells us.
The project work is exciting and challenging in a positive way. Jeya is particularly proud when she can grow together with her team on projects, as was recently the case with a customer project. “The introduction of new systems or the development of customer-specific interfaces and processes are the most exciting projects for me. That’s where the personal and professional growth is greatest, because we are always actively involved, from planning to deployment,” our colleague explains.
In her role as a manager, Jeya pursues a sustainable management style and attaches great importance to communication. “I try to take an intuitive and empathetic approach in my leadership role in order to convey to my employees that I also have an open ear for them outside of technical matters. To help my team move forward, I often seek out conversations and try, as far as possible, to help my employees find their own approach to problems and tasks by asking specific questions, rather than giving detailed instructions. Healthy and sustainable growth is particularly important to me.”
In keeping with her hobbies, which include regular city trips, Jeya also appreciates the opportunity to work across different locations and countries in her job. For our colleague, it is important both privately and professionally to keep moving and constantly develop. She therefore greatly appreciates the opportunity to work from different locations. Not least because her team is now spread across four locations in two countries.
“What I appreciate most about my work at SpiraTec, apart from the family atmosphere and the supportive interaction with each other, is the flexibility and the cross-location work. This gives me the opportunity to combine my passion for traveling with my work and to work with different people at different locations,” Jeya tells us at the end of our interview.
