SpiraTec employee as mentor at Youth Entrepreneurship Week
- 29.06.2023
Our employee Alexander, who works as a Professional Consultant in the Line of Business Industrial IT Solutions at the Kufstein site, had the opportunity to be a mentor at the Youth Entrepreneurship Week in Austria a few weeks ago.
“What excited me most was how motivated the young people were. The competition between the teams was taken very seriously and a lot of heart and soul was put into the projects and ideas by everyone. The energy and dynamism that prevailed on site was contagious, as many of the participants wanted to get started right away with their start-up idea,” says our colleague Alex about his experience at the Youth Entrepreneurship Week.
Youth Entrepreneurship Week is a workshop that takes place throughout Austria and gives young people the chance to work on a personal and sustainable business idea and make initial contacts with institutions and people from the startup community in the region. For four and a half days, the young people can deal with the topic of entrepreneurship and work on their idea. They are supported by trainers and mentors from the field.
Alex was approached via LinkedIn by Austrian Startups, Austria’s leading think tank for innovative entrepreneurship, and asked if he would like to be part of Youth Entrepreneurship Week. He agreed and spent an afternoon exploring the business and startup ideas of potential young entrepreneurs:in. A small investment of time for an exciting insight into business ideas of tomorrow.
For Alex, it was also a welcome opportunity to step out of his everyday comfort zone and learn and develop new skills in his role as a mentor. Networking with colleagues from other companies was another plus for Alex, as he tells us.
It was a well-used afternoon for our employee, who is happy to be back in the role of mentor. Anyone who would like to find out more about Youth Entrepreneurship Week can find out more here.
