From trainee to permanent employee:
An interview with our colleague Leon. He told us about his successfully completed training at SpiraTec Group.
At the end of his training, we talked to Leon, who finished his time as a trainee in July and remains with us as a permanent employee in our Corporate IT.
After graduating from high school, it was clear that he wanted to complete an apprenticeship in the IT field, Leon tells us. His application to SpiraTec to become an IT specialist for systems integration was soon sent out and his first day was quickly approaching. During an office conversion at the beginning of his training, our colleague was actively involved right away and was thus able to take on responsibility early on.
“My colleagues placed their trust in me very early on and I was able to take on support tasks independently right from the start. For me, that was a sign of appreciation.”
Unlike school life, training required more initiative, Leon tells us. The main thing is to structure one’s own work and to deal with new topics intensively on one’s own. Our colleague has already been fully integrated into the work of our Corporate IT for a year, which is why the framework conditions in particular have changed for him: As a permanent employee, he can now take advantage of flextime and mobile working. In addition, his area od responsibility will expand. In addition to classic support topics, Leon is responsible within the team for the IT-side processing of employee departures.
“There is a friendly relationship within my team and all colleagues at SpiraTec are helpful and open-minded. The rapid growth of the company is also an exciting challenge for the entire team”, Leon tells us at the end of our interview.
